Heath graduated from DeSoto High School in 1987. He is currently the Chief Building Official for the City of Midlothian, Texas. He and wife, Shannon, married in 1993 and in 2002 became Maypearl residents. They have three children, Elijah, Grace, and Faith, all of whom are currently or have been students in Maypearl ISD. Heath has served 12 years on the school board. He and his family are members of First Baptist Church Maypearl. He enjoys camping, hunting, and spending time with family.
Justin was born and raised in Maypearl. His wife, Amanda, is currently an elementary counselor. They have two young children both of whom are students in Maypearl ISD. He is a graduate of Maypearl ISD’s class of 1997 and went on to attend Tarleton State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture and Landscape Management. After leaving Tarleton, Justin started his career as a firefighter/paramedic with the Dallas Fire Department in May of 2002.
Justin’s belief that one of our most important responsibilities is the education of our community’s children stems from being taught at a very young age the importance of having a strong and vibrant school. This is Justin’s second term on the school board. He is thankful for the opportunity to serve our community and our students.
James is a lifelong resident of Maypearl and is serving on the school board for a fourth term. He and wife, Jenni, have six children together; three have graduated from Maypearl ISD and three are currently students in the district. James is a Maypearl graduate of the class of 1987 and continued his education at Tarleton State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering Technologies. He currently works locally in the custom home business.
Tricia was born and raised in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. She moved to Waxahachie in January of 1981 to attend college at SAGU. She graduated in 1984 with a degree in Business Administration. While attending college, she was Administrative Assistant to the President. After graduation, she began working in Dallas for a family owned oil & gas business with investments also in real estate. After 33 years of business administration experience in corporate management, she retired in December, 2017.
She married her husband, Todd, on October 6, 1984. They have three children – Jessica graduated in 2006, Alexandra graduated in 2011 and Nick graduated in 2018. Because of Nick’s Intellectual Disability diagnosis, he is attending the Transition/18+ Program and Tricia will remain active in building this program in the District. She has lived in Maypearl ISD since 1994. She and Todd have owned four businesses since 1998, purchasing assets of other companies during this time. They merged, and then sold the technology and security service business in 2016. They now own one business, but have started preparing for early retirement.
She is a member of First Assembly of Waxahachie Church and is a member of the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas. She served on the school board from May, 2007 to May, 2017. During this tenure, she served two years as the Board Secretary and four years as the Board President. After one-year off the board, she was elected in May, 2018 for a three-year term. Her passion is to see all students succeed to their full potential to enable them to be successful in college or be successful in a career that fulfills their dream. It gives her great pleasure to be an advocate for the students in our district.
Charles and his wife Kristine of 25 years moved their family to Maypearl in April of 1999. They have three children, Joshua, Nathan and Abigail who all attended and recently graduated from Maypearl ISD. Charles is the founder and Executive Director of Q Ministry Project, a 501c3 Non Profit and Publisher of the URBANwell Magazine. Before going into ministry, Charles was the founder and President of Hillco Companies for 13 years, providing leadership and strategic direction for several companies under the Hillco banner. Prior to founding the company, Charles served in the U.S. Marine Corp during Desert Storm and Desert Shield. He led three units of GE Capital nationwide, responsible for over $300 million in portfolio with $50-75 million in new business originations annually. Charles has served as Maypearl ISD Trustee since 2005. He and his wife attend FBC Maypearl where he is a Sunday school teacher. He enjoys being involved in the community and serving our district.
Brad and his wife Kim have been married for 18 years and have 4 children together. Preston graduated from Maypearl in 2004 and Braydn, Hallie, and Heath are currently enrolled as Maypearl students. Kim currently teaches 4th grade at LSK Elementary, although she has fulfilled a variety of teaching positions throughout her 20 years of service to MISD. Brad graduated from Midlothian High School in 1983 and from Southwest Texas State University in 1987, earning a BBA in Computer Information Systems. Brad is employed by HCL Technologies as a software architect. Brad and Kim believe strongly in education and in family values. Brad’s family has lived in Maypearl since 1998 and they enjoy living in a country community where their children benefit from a quality education and extra-curricular opportunities that are available to them from Maypearl schools. The Roesler family attends the Avenue Church. Brad has served as a trustee of the Maypearl Education Foundation and has coached a variety of youth sports throughout his years at Maypearl. This is Brad’s first term on the School Board and he embraces the challenge that has been entrusted to him by the community he serves.
Ted Carpenter has lived in Maypearl his entire life. He and his wife Bree graduated from Maypearl ISD and have been married for 18+ years. They have two children that both currently attend Maypearl ISD. He has been employed by the Dallas Fire-Rescue Department for 16+ years and currently holds the position of Driver Engineer. He and his family are members of the Maypearl Church of Christ were he leads worship part-time. He has coached his children in various youth sports as well as served on the Maypearl Youth baseball/softball board. He is very excited and feels blessed with the opportunity to help make great things happen in Maypearl and looks forward to serving his first term as a school board trustee.
