Additional Eligibility for Free Lunch - 25-26 and 26-27 School Years
The Texas Legislature has provided additional funding to districts across the state that will enable us to provide meals to students who qualify for reduced-cost breakfast and lunch at no cost.
This benefit will be immediately available to any family who has already qualified for reduced-cost meals for the 2025-2026 school year, and upon application approval to any family who applies for the remainder of the school year. This benefit will also be available in the 2026-2027 school year, but families will be required to apply and qualify for the program for the 26-27 school year.
If you have already applied and qualified for reduced-cost breakfast and lunch for your children for the current school year, you do not need to do anything further. Your children will automatically begin receiving the benefit.
