Mr. Joffre, M.Ed.
Mr. Joffre is a distinguished educator with 22 years of experience in education. He started his educational career as a fifth-grade classroom teacher and spent several years teaching middle school math and Algebra I. During his work as a teacher, he was awarded the prestigious AWARE Award for excellence in classroom teaching and is honored on the Wall of Excellence at Arlington ISD. He has also been recognized by the Governor of Texas for outstanding performance in education.
He had the privilege of opening a new campus as a middle assistant principal in Mansfield ISD during the district’s rapid growth. The teaching staff at Coble Middle School are responsible for strengthening his leadership abilities. He spent five years in that role before being named the secondary principal at Italy ISD where his team of excellent teachers earned several distinctions from the Texas Education Agency. He was promoted to Superintendent of Schools in 2016 and guided the district through several construction projects. Mr. Joffre also worked as the superintendent in Mabank ISD where he helped lead the district in several initiatives including strategic planning, safety improvements, facilities planning and policy updates.
Mr. Joffre believes that “good is not good enough” when it comes to educating children. He considers a great teacher to be the best asset for a student. He enjoys working with teachers, sponsors, and staff to find ways to improve the future of children. He holds a master’s degree in Education Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington, a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at El Paso and is certified in several areas including Math and English. Mr. Joffre is currently a Doctoral Candidate at Liberty University.
Prior to his work in education, Mr. Joffre served in the U.S. Navy as a flight deck aircraft handler as part of the Crash & Salvage Crew during the Gulf War. He gives credit to his military service for his work-ethic, determination, and respect for the chain of command.
Mr. Joffre has a reputation of being an “all-in” educator by devoting himself to the district for which he works. It is common to see him at his students’ events. He and his wife, Cassie, have been married for sixteen years. They have two boys who are 14 and 11 years old who attend Maypearl schools. They also have two adult children and have four grandchildren. Their boys are active in basketball, baseball, band, livestock showing, and both are passionate readers. The Joffre Family are home in Ellis County where they have developed many life-long friendships.
