Hello! My name is Gena Vowels and I have been teaching Secondary English for 13 years and this is my 3rd year at Maypearl.  I obtained my Bachelor's Degree from Missouri Southern State University.  I have spent the past ten years teaching middle school and high school English in Miami, Oklahoma.  With two children in college, my husband and I are enjoying being "empty nesters".  In my spare time, I enjoy reading, cooking, shopping, spending time with my family and cheering on the Oklahoma Sooners.
