If your child is NEW to the district and will be entering pre-kindergarten or kindergarten during the 2024-25 school year, be sure to get them enrolled during Pre-K & Kindergarten Online Pre-Registration beginning April 1, 2024.
(currently enrolled students will not need to complete registration until Mid-July)
Starting April 1, registration for your pre-k or kindergarten student can be completed online or through a scheduled appointment at your child's campus. While online enrollment is strongly encouraged, we understand that some may not be able to complete everything online (i.e. - those needing assistance turning in documents virtually.
All families enrolling in Pre-K 4 must complete the Pre-K Eligibility Screener to determine eligibility.
If you would like to have your 3-year old (must be 3 on or before September 1st, 2024), considered for placements, should we have a class, please complete the 3 year old Wait List.
- Enroll your child online (this is required for every new student)
- (only if needed) : Call or email to request an in-person appointment starting April 3 (only for registrants needing a face-to-face appointment)
- In-person appointments, held at the child's home campus or with district, are primarily scheduled to determine Pre-K eligibility or for those having difficulty submitting documents online.

Pre-K Eligibility Criteria
Maypearl ISD provides free pre-kindergarten to students who meet at least one of the following eligibility criteria as outlined by the Texas Education Agency .
A child who is four (4) years of age on or before September 1 of the current school year is eligible for a pre-kindergarten program if the child meets one of the qualifiers listed below:
- Unable to speak and comprehend the English language;
- Economically disadvantaged (qualifies for free or reduced lunches);
- Homeless (as defined by 42 United States Code (U.S.C.) Section 1143a);
- Child of an active duty member of the armed forces of the United States, including state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who is ordered to active duty (must be on active duty the first day of school);
- Child of a member of the armed forces of the United States, including state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who was injured or killed while serving on active duty;
- Child is, or ever has been, in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services following an adversary hearing. This also includes children who have been adopted or returned to their parents; or
- Child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award as: a peace officer under Section 3106.002, Government Code; a firefighter under Section 3106.003, Government Code; or an emergency medical first responder under Section 3106.004, Government Code
